Harry Potter stars join Wacky Rally
Rupert Grint and Oliver Phelps aka the Weasleys, took part in the Barmy to Barcelona Wacky Rally in July bought to you by the company behind Millennia Events.
The banger rally which set off July 16th from Lille, tours the Swiss Alps, rolling hills of Italy and the French Riviera before finishing in the Spanish Catalan capital Barcelona.
Grints team who are raising money for RNLI have created their very own lifeboat from their banger complete with a propeller and a perched seagull.
“Our “beast” is a Vauxhall Carlton. Its a 2.2 litre automatic , complete with Sports button on the gear stick. We are sure that this will blast us in to many a knot. We are raising money for the RNLI. You’ll know which car is us. Either the paint, the propeller or the radar will give us away.” Rupes
The aptly name Salty Sea Dogs joined a further 55 teams from across the UK who took part in the rally. Not in any way a race, the rally includes a whole host of challenges and competitions throughout the course and at each location, with plenty of spot prizes and even a cash prize for the winning team.
