Help for Heroes
Next week one of our lovely event coordinators here at Office Christmas will be following the footsteps of Ali and Billy and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of her father’s charity ‘Help for Heroes’.

“I have heard all the horror stories from Ali and Billy and am absolutely terrified! I have asthma, not a fan of walking, hills, camping, the cold or being anywhere where there is no wine available. I’m still amazed that I have been dragged in to do this and if it wasn’t for my parents I would be buying high heels not long john’s this week…
My Mum and Dad founded Help for Heroes two years ago and it has changed many lives including my own. Last year I cycled 380 miles in France with 300 other people including wounded servicemen and this year its off to Africa with my family, 5 injured soldiers and a group from The Sun Paper. We are all doing this climb because we are trying to raise as much money for Help for Heroes a Charity which so far has raised 30 million pounds for the wounded Servicemen returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.
I will definitely be out of my comfort zone but hearing about the tragic deaths in the news and the unbelievable amount of wounded pushes me to do this. Having my brother Tom in Afghanistan this year has made me really want to do my bit back home so climbing Kili it is for me!
You will be able to see me huff and puff my way up the mountain by going on the Sun’s website www.thesun.co.uk and we should be in the paper most days. Please sponsor me so I will at least know when I am struggling next week it will be all worth it!
